ecg interfacing card for matlab

i am facing a problem in ecg circuit can anyone help me

ecg interfacing

do u mean ecg (medical electronics ) or what and what is the problem any way ??
give me more detailed description 4 ur problem

ecg pc cards

what kind of problem are you facing is it a noise problem, interfacing problem? Please supply more details thanks.

how can i read a wavfile via rs232 in matlab

did you mean electrocardiograph ? what problem do you have? please give more details

online ecg displays sound from mic

There is a special IC for ECG signal amplifier which can reduce tremendous noise effect. You migt one by search through the web. I don't really know the number of the IC anyway.

Good Luck

ecg recorder based on pc sound card

use battery for power-supl.
properly use leg drive to avoid noise.

I have an interfacing problem with my ecg
How can i interface my ecg signal with pc ? Is the best way is USB , Parallel or serial ports ?? What about using the pc's sound card as an ADC. PLEASE REPLY

I want to process the signal in matlab instead of using much more components.
Can u help me.

Use a usb to serial bridge and use a micro for ADC conversion. Use a inamp from texas ina126 or 128 for you analog frondend. You can then open the serial port in matlab. works just fine.

Thanks for ur reply.

I used the sound card as an ADC. It works well and now i can see my ecg on pc using matlab. I used the wavrecord function to record 10 seconds of my ecg and then display and process my signal.
But my big problem now is how to work on matlab 'online' or at 'real time' so that i can see the current ecg not a recorded wave.
Can i get this online processing using the sound card.
If not,
can any other intefacing method work online?
Thanks in advance.

pc microphone ecg

Soundcard i do not know, but serial is possible. But i must say that matlab has some issues with serial communications.

Sorry for interruption,
I've used SPTool to design my LPF, I've exported the filter coefficients in the workspace of matlab.
Now i want to apply this filter coefficients to my signal in the workspace, what's the best function to use. I've tried filter and filter2, but I've no result.
Thanks in advance.

Re: ecg

interfacing generated signals to PC.. not a tough thing.. all is available in MATLAB..

I. We can store analog variable data as .wav file extension by using windows sound recorder operation through microphone port. Further MATLAB/C has several functions to read that wave file and store into an array.

II. We can feed analog data through microphone port to the PC and use MATLAB or MFC command to read that analog data in real time.

III. The next common thing we can do to convert analog data into digital and interface with the PC by the help of several interfacing options. Such as USB Communication, Serial RS232 Communication via DB9 connector or Ethernet and all. This can be well worked out by using MATLAB and C++ functions.

i have already tested all...

Re: ecg

l want to make interfacing (serial port) using PIC for this ECG output. anyone have suggestion on which pic to used?

Since you want to use serial port, you have two options:
1)- You can use a PIC with embedded RS232 hardware (PIC18F4550....) or just use...
2)-.....simulated (software) serial communication. You just need 2 pins of the PIC
