analog signal definition in vhdl

xilinx analog vhdl signal

Hi all

I've been trying to make 8 bit A/D converter with vhdl in xilinx but I don't know how to define input signal as analog. Any help regarding this is appreciated.
 

XILINX FPGAS are digital components . Not Analog !
Use an external converter
 

If you are using a Virtex-5, it has a built-in 10-bit ADC. Otherwise, follow eltonjohn's suggestion.
