How to design a analog system

Is there any design flow for analog circuit design? When I begin a project, what procedure shall I take, and what software shall I use from the system view?
 

There is no rules to follow on any design - just a methodology which suits you most.
Typically, analog design would start from schematic, downto simulation, verifying that the circuit that you created is functionally correct. Then, prototyping on a breadboard with all the components available and testing it out using oscilloscope or multimeter.
Today, EDA tools have advanced in such a way that there's tool for everyone. Schematics/simulation tools like Hspice (Synopsys/Avanti), T-Spice (tanner), Tina Plus or other Spice simulator. If you are looking at large design system, a more powerful tool like Saber (synopsys) might be helpful.
 

Is saber powerful than Cadence icfb?
 

Never really compared between those 2 tools (saber & icfb) before. Just got my first hand at Saber.
Really impressive!
 

don't follow rules, think what u want to do and how that can be done. for simulation use ORCAD. iis nice. helps u in both digital and analog design
 

Is there any good forum for analog design? This forum is full of things for digital integrated circuits.

3-Cadence Schematic Composer for full schematic
3-Virtuoso for layout, DRC LVS and extraction
4-Nanosim, Hsim for top level simulations
5-Calibre for final DRC and LVS

I am interesting in Matlab for system development and simulations, Is there any E-books or stuffs on it?

Well U should start with the goal of the design - some measurement of non-electrical or whatever event with given temporal characteristics and dynamic range being transformed into electrical signal by a transducer. The goal of the analog system is to match the sensor signal to an data acquisition system in a such way the sensor noise and dynamic range dominate all the other noises contributed by the analog signal processing within the given bandwidth.

Ths is what gives the constrains for the analog system design. The implementation naturally is specific to the project and require some basic skills like knowledge the noise property and proagation among the various gain stages of various active and pasive components, their thermal coefficients, frequency responce, power consumption, impedance matching , etc, etc.

The santa helpers are the various simulation software packages available. I use OrCad PSpice and MatCap. The MC seems to be much better.
