I am an embedded system designer using microcontrollers like HC12 and 8051 but currently i have a product that it has to be done using FPGA , client orders , so what i need to switch from ucontroller programming to VHDL , if any one has a documentation.
Kind Regards

Why do you need to switch from MCU to FPGA? It will take longer to develop (because learnig curve is involved) also it can be more expensive. Try to convince your client to leave all technical dessisions up to you

the two are vastly different.. to me the biggest change is in programming technique because FPGA codes (vhdl, verilog) are parallel, rather than sequential as in uCs..

and trust me, debugging parallel code is next door to hell!!

if you are confident, FPGA/VHDL coding can be fun.
