what is the effective capacitance from a capacitor if 2 dielectrics of ε1 and ε2 are inserted between them?

according to their arrangemt,
i.e. as if they are 2 capacitors
refer to hayt in electromagnetcs( available on this site) for more details

If so, the effective capacitance can be the capacitance composed of two capacitances, each with own dielectric constant, in series.

By arranging them in horizontal direction it can be view as two capacitors in series and in vertcal direction , it will be viewd as parallel capacitors....
