Need help in connecting 8051 with sony ericsson T630

hi
i m doing my final year project that includes autoically sending sms from mobile phone. i m connecting 8051 with T630 using Tx, Rx and Gnd of 8051. i m using MAX232 IC in between microcontroller and mobile phone. i made assembly code to send the AT commands. but i havent got any response from the mobile. i want to know that whats wrong with this?

And can anybody know about MAX232? is it needed in between controller and mobile phone or i can directly connect controller wiht the mobile phone.
plz help me.......

8051 ericsson

Do NOT use MAX232. Connect directly and it will work.
 

check for circuit cellar site. they have great resources for T69 mobiles
