hi
I am designing oscillator.
i want to plot stability circles.
coordinates that i got for input & output port of transistor are
1)for input
centre = 1.77<83deg. & radius = 0.88
2)for output
centre=32.32<-80deg
radius = 33.07.
how to plot this on smith chart.

Hello again, Abhishekabs!

the r<deg are the position of the middle point of the circle.

If you have 1.77|_83deg. :
1.77 is the distance from the center of simth chart and the 83deg is the angle from right.
This is a point outside the simthchart because smith chart scalled to one.
And a circle with 0.88 radius is then ploted from that point.

Good Luck !

u can use the smith chart utility from ADS.

some one told me about compressed smith chart & reverse smith chart.
what is that.
can i use it when my coordinates are outside the chart.
the point 1.77<80 is too far!
