hallo,

I hope anybody can help me?

I have a Wireless PC Card with 2 antennas and I want to know what is the antenna pattern or the antenna technology in this Card ( Beamforming, omni-antenna or sectorized antenna,.....etc).
Or how can I measure the directional radio pattern of the antennas?

Thanks

Yahya

I think it is a diversity antenna. You can look at this technique in any mobile communication book

Thanks first for reply.
But the Access Point which used with this card is with 7 antennas and the technology in this AP is Adaptive Beamforming.
So how can they communicate?

Oh, then I think it is a MIMO system. The MIMO system can increase the capacity a lot. It can use space-time coding for reliable communication or Layered space-time code for high speed. You can search "MIMO wireless" in the internet. You might try this book Fundamentals of Wireless Communication, by D. Tse and P. Viswanath, Cambridge University Press, May 2005
