hi all

good circuit for radar detector

Hi sokrat,

I can't imagine that the sensitivity of such a system will be good. Do you have any measurements? Another problem would be the broadband of such a design...
I think a better idea to9 detect radar-signals is to use a gunn-source.

Bye

if you have another circuit sent it for me

Hi sokrat,

You can use a gunn-source (look at http://www.kenneke.com/microwave.html). These devices have an oscillator at the given frequency and also a sensitive mixer. They can detect input signals down to -90dBm. If you want to build a radar detector you have to set the frequency near to the receive frequency. If a signal is in the air, you will receive the difference of the receive to your own transmit frequency at the mixer output. You can amplify it and go to a comparator...
You can even make a much more sensitive circuit by using a high gain antenna (horn antenna, ...)

HI mr_ghz
i think it is not practical method :?
 using a high gain antenna (horn antenna, ...)
this is not good idea :not:

Re: radar detector

hi sokrat,

the download link seems to be broken, it's not connected. would appreciate if you can fix it. or anyone else can upload it? thanks.

Re: radar detector

The reliability of such the circuit is far from good, but it can be amusing to play with it. I can not imagine such circuit function in presence of modern mobile phones, bluetooth gadgets and so on.
