Problem about the download of iMPACT

I have a Spartan-3 PCI express Starter Kit. And when I got the board, I can use the iMPACT of the ISE 8.2i to download. But just several days, now I can't download and always i got the error as follows:

"ERROR:iMPACT:585 - A problem may exist in the hardware configuration. Check to see that the cable, scan chain, and power connections are intact, that the specified scan chain configuration matches the actual hardware, and that the power supply is adequate and delivering the correct voltage."

And I checked the cable and the FPGA download mode are right. Is there anybody met the same problem?

By the way, I have no the Parallel Cable IV but I have one Parallel Cable III. Although the connector of the board is small, I make some wires to link the Cable and the board. Is that right?

I had a similar problem, very annoying!

I don’t know if this will help but I added the latest service packs to ISE and impact worked properly.

The problem is resolved.

The hardware configuration of the board JP3 must set 2-3 when using the JTAG download cabel.
