Serial communication problems with a R8C microcontroller

hi friends,

i am using the serial communication to receive data and also timer to generate realtime by using R8C microcontroller, some times it working perfectly and some times it doesnot responding,i am using a 10Mhz crystal for Uc so any one plse help me

Without your code, how any one can help you?
Do you use E8?

i am using R8C/1A microcontroller, iam not using E8 board
