Re: THE GREAT ICD2

I've try two ICD2 with USB.
The first with Cypress Circuit works well, but the Cypress Circuit is not cheap.
The second version use the "pingouindunord" version. You can take a look at is website for download everything to make board.

pingouindunord.free.fr/ICD2/
For the pingouindunord" version it works well too. It's very simple to realize the board. There is sone exotic component on it, but you can have it with free sample TI's politic. So this version is the most cheaper, all the semiconductor can be found in free sample. Perhaps except the regulator 78l08.

Re: THE GREAT ICD2

man i am just asking the difference and u r telling me to read Project to replace CY7C64613 in the ICD2.......how is that possible.....u read it and make me understand that.....thanks

Re: THE GREAT ICD2

Here's my ICD2 kit, both a serial version and the USB upgrade underneath it.

If you're just getting started in PIC programming you really don't need the USB upgrade, they both program exactly the same PICs, just the USB version is faster.

THE GREAT ICD2

Hi microteck

Could you advise what is the version of the Mplab you are using for this project?

TQ

THE GREAT ICD2

Now a Real ICE might be interesting.

Where do you get the PICKit2 Firmware (including the bootloader)?

THE GREAT ICD2

Actually Mike all the V2xxxxxx files have the bootloader. I loaded it onto the Unicorn and with a jumper to VDD & RA1 you can test the firmware.

THE GREAT ICD2

Microchip actually provides those hex file.
BTW, are we talking about ICD 2 or PICkit 2 here?
I am confused.

Re: THE GREAT ICD2

i think microchip doesnt provide hex file
