detailed design process about halfband filter !!

I want to design a upsampling SRC converter,halfband filter is a priority.but I am a beginner in Multirate DSP.I need some suggestions.
I tinks the most fastest method is to get some demos/examples about halfband filter design process,such as how to use Matlab/Simulink to design a halfband filter in upsampling process according to specificatons. how to trade off the hardware complexity and filter performance.

it is the best for beginners.
u can design in minutes even get the statistics of complexity in hardware.
regarding trade of it depends on ur application, the stop band attenuation required.

where to get demos??
none other than matlab itself..it has got lot of demos

can i get demos in matlba for designning a half-band filter? how to find this domes ? search in the help lib?
 

type demos in command window
u get a window in which u can search for halfband
or u can go to matlab webinars in the matlab website.
