can anyone give me a rough picture of receiver circuit design for 1ghz RANGE.ANY ebooks or links will serve the purpose.also is it possible to design a receiver wih intermedi ate freq =1 ghz.

high freq receiver

Sure, it is possible, but in Super-heterodyne Receivers. See the pic, an example of frequency planning for a multi-band multi-standard rf front-end.

Re: high freq receiver

Hi,

The circuit design would be difficult as you would have to contend with two different high frequencies (your RF and IF).
