How to change FONT in POWERPCB.Thanks for your reply.

bmp2asc instructions

You can't! That is the same font used since Pads was originally written, and was hand drawn by the author of the original version.

romansim font pads

Hello fyjin
I dont know this will work or not...

On searching for font word in the PowerPCB Help .....i came across

Romansim.FNT

The binary text font for PowerPCB/PowerBGA graphics that must be located in the same directory as powerpcb.exe or powerbga.exe.

Now what u can try is to look for the font which you want n place that *.FNT file in the location mentioned.

May be this will work and u will be able to change the font....

But it would be advisable to use the default font given in setup.....changing the fonr may result in some problems....which i am also not aware of....

so try this all on your own risk....Or you can contact your Pads Representative for further help....

Best regards....

Realy this is the ONLY font aviable, but you want fonts for what exactly?
Attached old stuff BMP2ASC.
Its nice for converting a bmp to asc.
Also i use it a lot to place barcodes on boards.

Hope this can help everyone

.bmp to .asc

There is a printer driver program from Leadtools that will read in all sorts of printer format files and save them as gerber files or even dxf files. Use it to read in your text and save as dxf, then import it into your board. On the other hand you can create a small photoplot file and import it into your layer photoplot. I haven't used this for a while, so you should download their eval version and see if it does what you want. I think the eval is good for 15 or 30 days.

here is a replacement of romansim font used by pwrpcb, it is including
