Consider the interactive process

X(k+1) = 0.5 { X(k) + a/X(k)} where a >0 . Assuming that the process converges. To what does it converge ? What is the order of convergence?

Re: Sequence convergence

Process converges if X(1)>0. The value to wich converges is sqrt(a) . I didn't understand exactly what do you mean with second question.
