I' working on a patch antenna that should work on 900MHz. The problem is that it want resonate on 900MHz.
I tried three different PCB materials (fr4, ro4003, ro4350). Rectangular and square form. But it simply doesn't work. Interestingly it works on other frequencies. I'm starting to think 900 is a Satan's number (forget 666 :) ).
I'm feeding the antenna with a microstrip (matching with slot).
For fr4 dim. I used are W = 0,1014m L = 0,0793m h = 1.6 mm slot length = 0,0243m
for ro4350: W = 0,1114m L = 0,0891m h = 1.524 mm slot length = 0,0252m
for ro4003: W = 0,1126m L = 0,0904m h = 1.524 mm slot length = 0,0252m
Is this right? Can someone help me?

Your patch antenna is resonating on 970 MHz

I get different results.

I'm using HFSS. Can I do patch antennas with sonnet? Which one is better hfss or sonnet?

I also aded my .hfss file.

HFSS is better

you do microstrip antenna, you can use ansolft designer,it is better than HFSS

Designer is faster than HFSS,but HFSS is more accurate.
