icfb cadence

the difference is in icfb -- integrated circuit front to back...when you invoke you can use for both schematic entry simulation and layout...

if you invoke
icms ..integrated circuit mixed signal..
you can do only schematic design and simulation not the layout..

icfb icms

Well, and is there some versions of Cadence have only one of them? or it's a how to access issue?

Regards and thanks for help,
Ahmad,

icms icfb

you can access by typing icms in the unix command prompt

and the same you can do for icfb..

only thing is you need license to do any work on this tool...some companies will buy only icms for doing schematic 'bse layout tool is very costly..

icms cadence

i don't think cadence come with only one, note that having the program doesn't mean that u have the license, where the virtuoso layout editor has a separate licence from the schematic editor and the analog enviroment
