Where are the boost converters like MAX762 used?

I would like to construct and test a Switching Mode Converter using MAX762.
But I do not know where the boost converters like MAXZ762 are used.
Can anybody suggest an application for it?
Is there any practical schematics for it showing MAX762 SMPS used for a certain application.
