I am designing a board with DVI ( TMDS signal ) connector.

Should I shield all those data?

Do you have any example how to shield them?

Thanks

Re: Data bus shielding

If you have other digital (high speed) wires near your DVI differential pairs then you have to shield them by GND! If your DVI differential pairs not have any digital wire near them then shield is not important!
Important – uniform along the critical wires!

Re: Data bus shielding

Hi,

If it is two layer board and the data buses are critical then you can fill the copper around the data bus if possible,or you can also shield invidually.

if it is a four layer board, you can route the data buses in the grond plane itself, this will the best routing to get rid of emi issues whatsoever.

Hope this will you..

Ramesh
