wireless access points project

I'm planning to make a project of a "hot spot" in which i may need to construct and configure a wireless router and some wireless access points.

can i build these components or i have to buy them. can you help ?

You can build antennas, you should buy the rest.

I believe you will cost less if you buy, WiFi routers are really cheap these days, for more datails
