Can someone help me with a simple circuit of an ups? It should have a 5 minutes backup and all parts should be available in the market.
JUST A SIMPLE CIRCUIT.
Is there anyone?
Please write me at upol@glinktel.com for any assisstance.

You can find reference design at the microchip's web site.Originally Posted by upol

This design from Microchip it's not simple is a sine wave output type
with many special and costly parts, and many stages.
For a simple type low cost the square wave output with output filter
is a good approach, for best results has to be online type UPS.

ya i agree with u.Originally Posted by Tornado

thanks
Let's start with the requirements:
Output Power
Battery Voltage
Output Voltage
Output Frequency
5 minutes of time
First you have to define those.
Regards
Ok ...Here it goes..
1:::OUTPUT POWER ---- ~500VA
2:::Battery Voltage----- 12V (7AHr) x 2pcs (Parallel connection to increase power and backup time)
3:::OUTPUT Voltage---- ~230VAC
4:::OUTPUT Frequency-- 50HZ(tolerance 2%)
Here are the requirement...now u can proceed to the next lesson
thanks to u very much
Hi Upol please take a look at this:

ITP is asking for a UPS with exact same requirements, so I suggest to
move to one topic so we can assist you both in the design of that UPS,
it seems to me like a school project.
Is it? In this case we have to help you guys with 2 different
designs, yes that's possible by using different ferrite tranformers and
drive circuits.

Hi Upol, can you check in your area for a 500VA transformer with 2x12Volt primary windings that has to be the first close to the core, normal transformers don't work properly because the primary 230 Vac winding is wounded close to the core and secondary is the last winding on top of the primary.
I work some code for the output section.
Tornado
yes...I have a transformer like u described..But one thing...I got a transformer...which's half of the core is for primary and the other half is for the secondary. In such arrangement both the windings have the same distance from the iron core. Will these sort of transformer work?
OK that transformer is even better!!!
Upol, here is a topic link for UPS on Elektroda you can
watch and post from now on there so we and I dont have
to jump from topic to topic.

Also Richmond74 posted a very good link for a ups:
