How to calculate the route index and route area prediction?

pcb routability index

I need detailed and complete info, as calculate the route index, also to route area prediction.

Mathematical formulas exist on this respect ?

Please reply with usefull info, thanks in advance, Skywalker.
 

Routability index

In Zuken Software's you can find an advance option of Routability Index in route editor.

It gives an idea of component density and net density.

Oh is that what it is, I just thought it showed pretty colours - lol

Hi all,
thanks for your replies.

In Zuken an option exist ok, but when the components and nets are loaded, in pcb or routing tool.

Before loading netlist, how to calculate the board density or routing area, and layers need ? Exist some formulas ?
