interview question:

what makes cmos more linear than bipolar for an LNA ? A Mixer ?

i guess in general linearity is traded with gain , BJT has higher hain so lower linearity

For a given driving current (collector current or drain current), linearity of bipolar transistor is limited by Vt (gm=Ic/Vt). However, we can adjust the size of the MOS transistor to obtain different range of linearity.
