can anybody suggest me link where I will get free AVR microcontroller compiler & assembly programs.

winavr download

hi,
gnu's gcc supports avr. winavr is nothing but gnu gcc plus other useful tools. as avr is spetially designed for high level language as c it is very good idea to use gcc for avr.
lots of documentation is also ther. justo download the winavr and go through the avr-libc manual which comes with the package.
