how does a hartley oscillator work?

i have a problem about our project to design a hartley's oscillator which will have an output of 2 MHz. in our textbook there is a circuit that uses an amplifier but as i have searched in the internet i didn't see any circuit that uses an amplifier.

please if you have an idea there can you help me!!
