I want to control 8-10 devices by RF remote control.

Operations I want to do:

- turn on/off lights
- dim lights

They can either be controlled via RF remote control or "low voltage" hardwire.

This is for an upcoming party in a 10,000 sq ft. hall.

Can anybody suggest how to approach this ?

abe.

Hi,

To use low voltage hardwiring you can go for relay based circuit.
You can make it as simple as that with 10 such relays (Normally closed) which could be activated by small voltage level at input. Since you are makking use of relays, you can use amplifiers in between the input switch (say , Normal switch ) circuit and the relay input.
If you want it like one time push to ON/OFF.
Then you can use a SCR based input section. Try to start up here for hardwired work.

If you want remote control, then IR is available . Any way that has to be sensed by receiver and again you need a relay at outputside...

What options are available if I want to use RF ? ( note : IR cannot be used since during a party, there cannot be clear line between trans. and rcvr ).

Hi,
If it is urgent you can take up a ready made. Check this link.
