Now, we had design a CPU hardware for studying having similar structure as ARM.
How can i simulate and verify its function?
We have no enough time to write a C model to simulate its behaviour.
Is there any other ways? THX

We especially want to know the values of the result in the memory, including the general register change
Thans very much!

Hi ,

1) Are you going to start writing a processor RTL ?

in that you can write out some verilog tasks in TB to see changes in registers ?

Thanks & Regards

Do you have an Instruction Set Simulator of this uP???
If yes you could run code in both RTL and ISS and compare the register stack after each instruction. Good code examples would be compiler test code, random assebmy etc

if you need to ask, this is not a production project ;-)

Otherwise you need automated testbenches, extensive use of code coverage ... try Specman

You may need write a c model of cpu.
