protel or orcad

hello guys
i would like to a have a complete software for drawing my shematics and designing my PCBs
and after reading a lot of articles in this forum i found out that the 2 most popular are OrCad And Protel
so which one to choose , what r the disadvantages
and advantages that these two sowtware have.
please i would like to have answers from people how have tried both softwares.

Protel (99SE) is easy to learn and very frendly. This is a very important thing while you use an EDA program, because the link between user and program must be strong and non stressfull.
This aspect is more important than some "bugs" of this program.
A good program must serve the user. Orcad is much more egotic and hard to learn.
Altium DXP (with SP2) is a big step forward, but is not easy to learn.
So I recomend Protel 99SE.

i dont mind spending time on learning hard EDAs just want to know wich is the best and most usefull one .
And one more question, Are these the same EDAs that are used in designing pcbs that are in the market ,or there r more proffesional EDAs that r not available for people .???

i tink altium make a lot of developement for protel, so it a good program for more PCB.
Orcad don't change version in two years old so i think it less performances.
So if you begin to learn , you must take an oldest program

good luck

orcad schematic is strong enough for interfacing with other eda pcb tools, and have very good graphical interface.
