Why the shape of contour load-pull is not the circle because of nonlinear behavior?
Who can help me explain it in detail? Thanks in advance.
 

Take a look at chapter 2 of Steve Cripps' book "RF Power Amplifiers ..." where he shows his method of deriving load pull countours
