Hi all,

I am newbie on on physical design, Is there someone could help me about the basics of RC extaction and how to use Cadence tool related to RC extraction.

Thanks in advance.

Re: RC extraction

resistor - capacitor extraction...

RC extraction

for cadence tools, install assura first, then ask for assura command files from foundry.

Re: RC extraction

I would like to ask if starRC can also be use for RC extraction

Thanks

Re: RC extraction

The Post layout extraction flow is aimed to provide spice transistor flat netlist back annotated
with parasitic C’s and R’s extracted on interconnections. This flow is based on Calibre-StarRCXT tools (try to use it !)

RCmodels represent the analytical models used on the fly by starRCXT to compute the parasitic

resistances and capacitances. RCmodels computation is based on the interconnect stack parameters described in the DRM (Design Rule Manual)
