PCB design error: padstack can not be used as via

I experience this error when I am doing pcb design.

Erro during autorouter preprocessing

I am doing a single layer design oni.

Plz advise. thanks
 

single side en ultiboard

Autorouter never gives optimum soution for single side PCB.

By default, autouter routs orthogonally in adjacent layers. It always considers manhatten lenghs & puts via if it has to change trace from horizonal to vertical.

I wont recomend using autorouter for single side unless you are espert n defining rules to fintune it.

Iy you are using PADS, try with BLAZEROUTER.
 

ultiboard via

Could you please tell me how to draw a good pcd design? First of all I place all the components in the board that I have defined. Then I use netlist to link all the components pins. Then I use follow up to join them up. The connections seems very ugly. Secondly, is it possible for me to view the at tracks that I have designed? If yes, then how?

Please help me on this simple circuit? Give me some fundamental. Thanks.
 

how to view pcb side on ultiboard

You Must understand flow of the circuit. Analog, Digital, Power, RF, all kind of PCB layout has it's own guidelines.

Dont care about the asthetics of PCB as long as electrically it's working. If you have leasure time, you may adjust tracks to give better shape.

On the cistuit you have on picture, Isolate the primary & secondary section of circuit. In cade of DC/DC power supply or SMPS, you must have clearence of 8 mm. In case you are not able to meet his,a slot is to create ( called creepage).

change pcb shape ultiboard 10

I now experience another problem....May anyone teach me how to place the connector( a pic is attached) in my pcb design? The way I could think of is just solder a wire at one end of my desire track then connect to the pin of connector? Is there any better way to do it? By using pcb design software...I mean create a hole or other.
 

ultiboard single sided easy to solder

Pls understand the pcb flow before you actually jump into designing it. You have various tools. I believe you use ORCAD, goto the learn in help menu, you can learn it step by step.
Else get it designed by some professional in your city.
