I am a beginner of learning hoe to use PIC to display seven segment display. Can anyone give a suggestion how to do. I am using MPLab IDE v7.31.

hi
the IDE doesnt deside which type of hardware u wnat to use u have to physically connect the PIc to a 7segment display & program the controller such that i will out put the number that u pressed on the input side here is sample circuit.
the 7 sement should be either common anode/cathode type

Really a lot information regarding this topic on the Internet.

Attached find documents show the full source code and schematic that I used for one of my commercial projects in the past.

Driving 4" 7-segment LED. Multiplexing method used. Development in CCS C programming language. Pictures found under my web page under PIC Boards section.

Hope you find it useful.
