Hi all, any recommends on this programmer? i would like to biuld one. Plz provide info along with the software and firmware, thanks

er...i know the usbasp, the software needed to downlaod the hex file is avrdude rite? but isn't avrdude is run on Unix? any software on windows?

There exists many of AVR programmers....

but I think STK500 compatible usb programmer is good for you....
Because you don't woory about the windows driver and application.....
But This is more complex schematic.. :D

Compatible to Atmel's STK500 with built-in USB to Serial converter.

I dl this file, there are several files like firmware, software.....is there any software other than avrdude than is compatible with this programmer??Something like IDE?

Or can someone tell me how to run it from scratch, coz i not quite understand on downloading hex file into a microC using this USB programmer. thankx

can anyone teach me how to use this avrdude for windows provided by h**p://www.fischl.de/usbasp/
?

after downloading extracting it, cant find any exe file to be installed, or just start typing commands in the command prompt?? any examples? thankx

This one is based on same idea as the usbasp
but it's stk500 compatible.

GTP-USB. You can find it in the Internet (by Gooogle etc.) It's software-WinPic800.

Use avr doper programmer whic is free source and compatible with stk500.
 

usb based programmer software

hey there are lot of these programmers as you can see above.. but i would ask you to try out atleast 3 of them and see which is best for what kind of code size... you might observe something very interesting!!
