hi, im seeking to design a wide band patch antenna.. all the papers i've read contain fast designs without any details or explanations.. and in all of them they say ::by trial and error...
so im confused about that..
can any one help me in this?
thanks

The esiest way is to use a thick substate with low Er.

Dear romrom,

Patch antennas have never be known to be wideband anyway. Another thing to note is the ground-to-radiator distance.

Hope this helps,
Watson

thank u Lokter_Whatsen ..
but there is patch antennas with 90% bandwidth enhancement..
i read many papers to do so..
try to read about : for example u slot in patch antennas.. and others
----
i want a paper describing the method used to design them.. or any equations to be used..

thank u

I would be interested in a patch with 90% bandwidth. Can you provide the author and title of the article(s) you mentioned. I would like to look at them further.

Regards,
Azulykit
