"The default shipped address of the SRF08 is 0xE0". I have an ultrasonic sensor called SRF08 and it has an onboard MCU pic16f872. Is 0xE0 the base address of the sensor?
It appears that 0xE0 is the I2C address the ultrasonic sensor is mapped to. The pic has an I2C serial communication interface that is connected to the sensor. On an I2C bus, each device must have a unique address that it is configured to respond to, and the default address that this sensor responds to is set to 0xE0.
