Hi
I have to realize a rf splitter 1 to 4 way for signal Zin 50 ohm Zout 50 ohm Fin 800 - 2400MHz. Is it possible to utilize a Wilkinson combiner? Does anyone help me to find document.
Regard.

Splitter 4 way.

Wilkinson combiners are narrow band splitters-combiners.For that frequency band, other techniques should be used such as multiple sectioned directional couplers, hybrid couplers, Lange copulers etc.

It's not an easy task...

Re: Splitter 4 way.

Do the outputs need to have the same phase? If not you can start with a quadrature such as branchline or coupled line to get two outputs then put another quadrature on each of these outputs.

If you do not mind loss and no isolation, you can use resistive ones.

Splitter 4 way.

U can use Wilkinson pd if u require good isolation.if only return loss is ur concern, use cascaded directional coupler

Re: Splitter 4 way.

Hi,

You not gone beleive but I design this splitter recently,
if you want i will send it to you. Just tell me what you need: capture, simulation (ads), dxf...

Re: Splitter 4 way.

I think you can use 2nd stage of splitter to increase your bandwidth.

Re: Splitter 4 way.

Wilkenson dividers can be very broad band. I would build your design as a 1:2 feeding two 1:2 dividers. I would meander the lines so they did not get too long. You willl probably need the 1:2 dividers to be 2 or 3 sections each. The more sections, the more broadband the two output ports isolation will be.

Re: Splitter 4 way.

The best method for that bandwidth is core and wire.

Use a binoc core and 36 gauge wire.
