power management chip is a prospective ic now.i am a beginner, who tell me what difference between regulator and converter?

hi

the difference is converter can step up and down
and the regulator just regulates the current supply to maintain constant voltage

hello friend

i think this file will help u . this file contains def of regulators and convertors

Regulators are a more wide cassification than converters and includes them: Linear, LDO, DC-DCconverters, AC-DC converters, DC-AC converters, etc.

DC-DC converters are also regulatos, but Vout could be bigger or smaller than Vin. And Vout could be of different polarity than Vin.
