hello everyone :

i have two questions to ask ,may be very simple to most of you

1 i am simulating patch antenna,i can obtain the s parameter of the antenna with different dielectric constant separately , but how to contain the s parameter with different dielectric constant just in a plot for the use of comparation?ia there any effect way to do this ?

2 how to see the input impedance of a antenna so as to introduce a good match between the antenna and the tansmission line ?i mean use port Z0 or some other method

any advice will be appreciated!

Hi Sanders,

I hope what I know will help you:
1) Results/Create-Report/Data Type: Data Table.
I usually right-click and export the plot to a data table and open the data files using excel and put all the curves together.

2) After you select the Data Type (see 1), select Port Zo or Z-parameter of your port (select im (imaginary) and re (real).

i have tried to export the radiation pattern to a table and open it using excel, but i do not know what to do next, how to plot different patterns from different models into a graph?any detail info will be appretiated!

best regards!

I've attached a radiation pattern plotted with excel.

Let me know if it's useful.[/img]

i can put different graphes into only one using excel ,but i have a question: as the value of the return loss in dB is below zero, the graph is inverted vertically, the positive direction of y axis point to bottom, how to solve this problem then?
thank you in advance!

It's easier to show you how to do that if
you post the excel file.

my question is shown in the file: how to add horizonal scale ?often is frequency axis. waiting for your reply, thank you!

Using matlab to plot different table data is very convenient.

I've fixed it.
Rename .xls.pdf to .xls.

I hope that you recognize my help.

thank you for your help, costox.i will check it
