Hi Everybody,
This is Ravi Worked previously with SIM100S and every was fine but now Im trying to work with SIM300 ver 2.04 I was able to power on the Modem using Power key and able check with AT Commands fine, My problem is Modem is not detecting SIM card (SIM VDD=0 which should be 1.8 to 3.0V).I was not able to receive RDY after Power ON but I found EXT vdd as 3.2V only after I Power on using Power Key , even I have given

AT+CSDT=1

Do I need make Software commands other than AT+CSDT=1.

Please do, I need a breakout board - where can I get one? THe module is too small to solder by hand despite having few mail smd connectors I know I will screw all of them if I try.

Well the problem is that they dont sell single units - they want someone from Nokia to call them and say hey dude I wanna buy 50g of your modules. If I buy single board that's a small fraction of the guy's BMW lease payment so no one would care

When I develop with SIM300, I asked for contact near my location from www.sim.com. They tell me to contact for module from excelpoint http://www.excelpoint.com/ The MOQ is 5 Module and 1EVB

Dude, 6,800.00 THB Thailand Baht = $203.897 USD, are you kidding me. The breakout board should be no more than $30 from a fab house, only if someone had the time to do the gerber files and then solder the smd connector (a $1 part) and few rs232 parts.

Wow anyway, but thanks for the info! Appreciate the feedback.
