Hi,

I need to read 3 analog voltage and tranfer it to my PC through USB port.

Is there any device to make this? I could do it by a data acquisition USB device from National Instruments and labview but the cheapest is very expensive for me. and also it has a lot of analog and digital channels I won't use.

what about using a MCU with internal A/D converter and USB?

Thanks

Perhaps i didn't explain my problem in a good way!!

I'm looking for a cheap and easy method to acquire 3 digitized channels voltages by USB to elaborate data by PC program. I'd like resolution greater or equal than 8bit and about 1KSample per second. I'd like to know all possible methods to choose the best one!!

Thanks

checkout this site; I use this modules!!!

fuzzy dont bother yourself with usb - for 1 Ksamples per sec, take a 1 dolar micro with adc and analog multiplexor on input, digitaise all 3 channels serially and send them samples multiplexed via serial COM port to PC. Even atmel's 75 cent chip can do that has a 10 bit adc. For this chip you can use one way software uart towards PC . You can find similar chips from other companies or other more powerful models from same company.

Hi ARTEM,

I know you can send data serially.but often new laptop hasn't got serial port COM. so a serial device becomes obsolete very fast.this is the reason i'd like to use USB, in order to use this device with every PC. I know usb difficulties. 1KSample is the minimum.but if i've more than 1Ksample it would be better!

solution from 'mobile-it' is quite good but still expensive in my opinion. i hope to find something similar with less I/O port and cheaper.

But i can also project a dedicated hardware. in this case it could be a satisfaction for me and also i think it would be cheaper for a production of 100 or more pieces!!

what do you suggest me??

a man asked me for this project for an application.
