It is my first time to use BiCMOS process, but there are so many kinds of bipolar to use, I can't catch their difference such as vertical bipolar and lateral bipolar, so pls give me some instruction or materials about them, thank you very much. They are listed below:
NPN_V_EA_10X10 : vertical NPN bipolar, single base with sinker, emitter area=1*1um^2
NPN_V_EA_10X20 : vertical NPN bipolar, single base with sinker, emitter area=1*2um^2
NPN_V_EA_10X250 : vertical NPN bipolar, single base with sinker, emitter area=1*25um^2
NPN_V_EA_250X250 : vertical NPN bipolar, single base with sinker, emitter area=25*25um^2
NPN_V_EK_10X10 : vertical NPN bipolar, single base without sinker, emitter area=1*1um^2
NPN_V_EK_10X20 : vertical NPN bipolar, single base without sinker, emitter area=1*2um^2
NPN_V_EK_10X250 : vertical NPN bipolar, single base without sinker, emitter area=1*25um^2
NPN_V_EK_250X250 : vertical NPN bipolar, single base without sinker, emitter area=25*25um^2

PNP_V_1-1_24X24 : vertical PNP bipolar, U type collector pickup, emitter aera=2.4*2.4um^2
PNP_V_1-1_20X40 : vertical PNP bipolar, U type collector pickup, emitter aera=2*4um^2
PNP_V_1-1_20X240 : vertical PNP bipolar, U type collector pickup, emitter aera=2*24um^2
PNP_V_2-1_24X24 : vertical PNP bipolar, line type collector pickup, emitter aera=2.4*2.4um^2
PNP_V_2-1_20X40 : vertical PNP bipolar, line type collector pickup, emitter aera=2*4um^2
PNP_V_2-1_20X240 : vertical PNP bipolar, line type collector pickup, emitter aera=2*24um^2

PNP_L25_22X22 : lateral PNP bipolar, base width=2.5um, emitter area=2.2*2.2um^2
PNP_L25_20X40 : lateral PNP bipolar, base width=2.5um, emitter area=2*4um^2
PNP_L25_20X240 : lateral PNP bipolar, base width=2.5um, emitter area=2*24um^2
PNP_L30_22X22 : lateral PNP bipolar, base width=3um, emitter area=2.2*2.2um^2
PNP_L30_20X40 : lateral PNP bipolar, base width=3um, emitter area=2*4um^2
PNP_L30_20X240 : lateral PNP bipolar, base width=3um, emitter area=2*24um^2
PNP_L35_22X22 : lateral PNP bipolar, base width=3um, emitter area=2.2*2.2um^2
PNP_L35_20X40 : lateral PNP bipolar, base width=3um, emitter area=2*4um^2
PNP_L35_20X240 : lateral PNP bipolar, base width=3um, emitter area=2*24um^2

DION : N+_PWELL Diode, N+ AREA=80*500um^2
DIOP : P+_NWELL Diode, P+ AREA=80*500um^2

whether the bipolar transistor is vertical or horizontal is determined by its physical layout. Vertical npn's stuctrure is E-B-C from top to bottom. The current is flowing vertically, which can be seen in the figure blow. Likewise, horizontal npn's structure is E-B-C from left to right. The current is flowing horizontally. i cannot find the figure, but you can imagine it with the figure of vertical npn.

As far as i know, lateral NPN is seldomly used. The most used three kinds of bipolar transistor are : vertical NPN, lateral PNP, and vertical PNP.
