hfbr2316 datasheet

Hi,

I have made a tiny CAN network with PICs, and I'd like to include fiber optic to my project. Can anybody tell me about what kind of interfase is necessary to include in order to convert the electrical signal to optical signal? May be some kind of specialized ICs and connectors.

Thank you.

Re: Fiber Optic

HI DEAR,

I HAVE NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION ABOUT THIS BUT I HAVE HANDELED MANY ITEMS THAT CONTAIN FIBER OPTIC IN THIS FIRST OF ALL YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR SIGNAL INTO LIGHT THAN REGARDING TO YOUR AREA YOU SHOULD HAVE TO USE THE FIBER IN THIS THE DIA OF FIBER OPTIC IS A CONCERNING THING.
SECONDLY THER IS A AMPLIFIER IN START OF EVERY FIBER OPTIC CABLE THAT AMPLIFIES TEH SIGNAL. BUT IF YOU SEARCH TEH GOOGLE I THINK YOU WOULD FOUND A MUCH MORE INFORMATION. YOU SHOULD NEED

Re: Fiber Optic

Here is a link that will provide you with a selection of fiber optic transmitters and receivers from AGILENT:
**broken link removed**
Some of receivers have build-in amplifiers, so the input to transmitters is of TTL/CMOS levels and output form receiver(s) is of the same standard (TTL/CMOS) ..
For example, HFBR1312 - transmitter and its matching pair, the HFBR2316 - receiver ..
