I have a panel meter from velleman.( PMLCDL )
And I want to build it in.
The problem is that if the power supply and the measure pins share a common ground, de display always says over range.

How can I solve this, without using a second supply for the meter?

Re: problem with V-meter

This will not work, because I only have a supply voltage of 0 to 11V

Re: problem with V-meter

Can I use an isolated DC/DC convertor for this?

this one for example.
DCP010512B from Texas Instruments

then I only need to put a lm7809 behind it.

problem with V-meter

maybe you can Separate the ground

Re: problem with V-meter

How do I do that?
Because there is a common ground in the hole system.
