The X and Y output of an acceleremoter is used to connect to the PIC18F452. It produce analog input and thus ADC operation is being carried out and the digital value is being displayed at the LCD. Do I need any digital output from the PIC18F452 to LCD?

Re: ADC doubts...

Hi!
Can you explain your objective in detail. I am unable to understand your query.
Regards.

Re: ADC doubts...

Which part you dont understand ? I just asking if I need an output digital to be connected to the LCD in order to display the accelerometer X and Y output after going through the ADC.

Re: ADC doubts...

LCD always need charecters to display and some instructions for identifying what to do. your X Y data should be processed and converted to ASCII format for sending to LCD.

Re: ADC doubts...

ok.. so how do you think of my schematic ? any mistake ?
do i need a digital output anywhere to connect to LCD or what ?

Re: ADC doubts...

Where is your schematics?
Upload your schematic here so that we can check out.

Re: ADC doubts...

Hi!
Well what i understand is that you want to display the result of ADC on a Character LCD. In order to do this you will have to write the driver for the lcd display.

Simply study the pdf for HD44780 and you will understand how to display data on an LCD.

if you need a readymade driver then i have got it.

feel free to ask if you need it.

Regards.
