Hello

There are various communication protocol readily available in the market. Siemens Uses following protocol

1. 3964 / 3964R under RK 512
2. Sinec L1
3. Sinec H1

etc

i think you should study network communication first,
and then you study siemens plc's data sheets.
this is my advice.
