Hello everyone !
I'm a beginner in studying VHDL. I have some books that can help me a lots but how can I be a good programmer when I just know some instructions clearly ? '
I think I should study arithmetic more but I don't know what books for free >>>>>> I'm a student in a poor country !!!!
can u help me for some helpful links for free e_books ![/quote]

vhdl programming practice

don't worrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyy
there are tons of free books online

u can just look at the uploaded books here as a starter...
u need no arithmetic background that much
just start by making simple design for basic gates and grow with ur designs

if u need any help let me know

Sometimes reading a book might not be the best way to learn a language. You can go search online in Yahoo or google to read other people's code and you will learn even more from there.

You may try considering these books:
1- HDL chip design.
2- VHDL made easy.
3- VHDL cookbook

tons of other books available here for free on the ebook forum, so just search for the ones with titles you find appropriate.

take it one step at a time, start by the essentials of logic design and digital design then master the VHDL language and tools for design.

pm me if anything still worries you.

Salam.

Book make difference but i would suggest you to go through this link an , then go to column against VHDL download. It will help you ,it is goog tutorial for the beginner. Just Think logically and develop your own problems.

From my point of view, books are necessary but not sufficient. Only a good practice can make you masterize a VHDL. Don't negligate synthesis aspects...

books are not everything.... Books are showing way of doing certain things.. They not teaching you how to think and how make a dissision in some cases... It is all up to you what you want to to become best in some crafts, it doesn't matter either it is VHDL or fashion design.....

Good luck!

Do you have a simulator? (like modelsim, cadence etc).
If you do, write some codes and test them. The best way to learn is to practice.
When you encounter any strange/unexpected result, post your queries here.

There will be lots of experts here to help you. (--- learn from mistake and you will remember it forever).

Cheers

u can refer vhdl by perry and j.bhaskar

digital logic design by wakerly
it will help u a lot

hi, you just choose one good book, read it and practice to write code as much as you can then you will master it

First get yourself a starter kit and start desiging your own chips with your logic. Then with days pass by, you will become an expert in using the IDE as well as simulation stuff...Along to this start programming using various syntax available and check your result immediatly...Learn yourself!

It all comes down to one thing..... coding in VHDL.

If you want to be the best at something you just have to work at it and gain experience. So just sit down and start writing some code and test it to see if it does what you intended for it to do.

Start simple and then work up.

Get a demo board and simulator so you can test and verify your code.

Good luck.
