IE3D doubt!!

hi,

i am trying to simulate probe fed microstrip antenna array with different amplitude and phase of the signal at different antenna( feed points).how it is to be done in IE3D??
how i can probe feed with some specified amlitude and phase for diferent feeding probes for different antenna elements in an array??

with regards
abhi

Re: IE3D doubt!!

Hi, Abhi:

You can simulate your structure as it is by enabling saving current distribution and saving pattern files. Then, you can use MGRID in visualization of current distribution or PATTERNVIEW in pattern visualization. You can specify whatever excitations you want for each port on visualizing the current distribution. You can choose EDIT->PROCESSING GENERAL PATTERN and you can specifiy any combination of excitaitons on it to find the pattern with the specified excitations you want. PATTERNVIEW will be able to find the pattern for you in a second. Also, you can use PROCESS->SIMULATE AND FIND EXCITATION on MODUA to find the voltage, current, incident wave and reflected wave at each port with your specified excitations. Regards.
