hello. I am a lecturer in an engineering college.

I need to guide the final year B.E(Electrical) students in their project work

(a) file transfer between two computers is one topic that i have suggested them.

can u suggest me some other good topics/ projects for this purpose.
(the topic can be taken from any field i.e Electronics/Computers/Electrical Engineering)

For example:

Simulation of USB controller using HDL ( for example VHDL)

If I can think of something else I will post later.

hello

in robotics there are many project ...one of my friend is doing EXPRESSION ROBOT. you can suggest that.

right now i am doing RISC Processor deisgn in FPGA using VHDL.........In VLSi many projects like implementing PPI8255 in VHDL and SRAM implementation or DM/ADM implimentation

Have you thought of using an FPGA or CPLD evaluation board from one of the vendors?
 

why dont you go for fuzzy logic controller using matlab thats a good project and had its worth too and will help students to learn a lot related to electronics and electrical

I have a suggestion for you. Two or three years ago, I came across with swarm algorithm for robots. This is an algorithm that a robot can help each other by understanding their position and status while doing something. Perhaps you can ask your student towards some specific application.
