The linux distribution Asianux looks a lot like Windows. I am wondering can Cadence install on this platform? Any ideals???

i doubt that cadence will work; it is very dependent of what library you have ( i meen version ). Cadence recomands RH 8 but work well on suse 9.0

As far as i know cadence will work on any linux distribution the only problem is in installation, and u can avoid this problem by installing cadence on FC3 or red hat 8 and then copy the installed directory into ur distribution or u can search for installing linux on different distributions u will find useful topics[/url]

Cadence will install on most of linuxs as long as the kernel directory is similar to Unix. But you can always ask the cadence support if you have the correct licences also you can post your query on chiptalk.com

Hie,

The cadence tools for now are only supported by cadence to the operatiing Systems REL 3.0 and in a near future also for REL4.0 meanwhile I had try also CentOS 4.0 and also works perfect.
If possible please try the CentOS 4.0 that is a clone of REL4.0, is free and other vendor tools such synopsys and mentor start already make available tools that are compatible with this Linux operating system that have the kene version 2.6.

I hope this helps
